30 or So Tidbits you may not know about me

As I am in a 30 day blog challenge and one of the topics that was suggested to write about is “30 or So Tidbits you may not know about me” here I go!   This is a challenge for me however here goes!

30 or So Tidbits you may not know about me

  1. I have a collection of 100 Cookie Jars I have collected over the past 20 years
  2. I do want to sell my 100 Cookie Jar Collection!  So if you are in Canada and know a cookie jar collector keep my in mind
  3. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, lived in West Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1964 by the time I was 5 years old.  Maybe this is why I have  the travel bug!
  4. And …. I traveled between BC and Ontario 3 times before I was 5 years old. Once on a sleeper train through the mountains that was pretty cool and fun for a kid
  5. On our last trip to Toronto we almost hit a moose driving through the mountains
  6. When the moving truck was arriving into Toronto it was in a major train accident and we lost all of our family possessions
  7. I learned to ice skate when I was 3 years old
  8. I figure skated
  9. I could teach skating by the time I was 12 years old
  10. I have a thing for watches and got my first watch at 7 years old.  I learned to tell time so I could wear my new watch

  11. I really like chunky jewelry (gold and silver) the bigger the better and have collected gold rings, since I was 10 years old
  12. I bought my first bike from my paper route money when I was 8 years old a CCM 3 Speed
  13. I’ve played organized girls hockey since I was 9 years old.
  14. I absolutely am passionate about playing hockey
  15. I reff’ed hockey for 10 years all levels, all ages and it was fun!
  16. I got my Level 3 as a ref
  17. I am an Ontario Baseball Champion
  18. I was asked to try out for the under 18 Canadian National Basketball Team
  19. Before I got into the Health Coaching, Personal Training field I owned my own Sales Agency.  I did Sales, marketing, promotion, teaching, product training
  20. I am a Dale Carnegie graduate
  21. I have spoken to large groups the largest was about 500 people and enjoy it
  22. I have been in about 15 car accidents in the past 30 years,  the last 2 in 1995  left me with Fibromyalgia
  23. I also have been diagnosed with Srojrens and Anklyosing Spondolitits both autoimmune challenges
  24. Which is why I am so passionate about health and well being, fitness, exercise and gluten free living
  25. I have been taking care of my ailing mother since 2005 and was live in for 7 years
  26. I suffered care giver burn out and my mother had to move into a Long Term Care Home Aug. 2010
  27. I had an accident on the ice, reff’ing  in Sept. 2010 where I suffered a Grade 2 tear in my MCL, an injured disk in my back and could barely walk and could not  sleep in my bed for 1 month
  28. February 2011 I registered to ride my bike 660 k
  29. April 2011 I began to train for a 660 k bike ride
  30. Aug 2011 I rode my bike 660 k, Total kilometers for the spring/summer of 2011 I rode my bike 2000 k

  31. My health is better today than it has been since I was a kid! And for that I am grateful!
  32. I like bike riding it makes me feel like a kid and it feels like freedom

    What a great list! When I was in high school, our marching band went to Edmonton for the Klondike festival a few times. It was always such fun.
