Thanks for this information, Wendy. I recently took gluten out of my diet in an experiment to see if the IBS symptoms that have plagued me for decades would improve and I am happy to say that 6 months later, it has made a vast difference in my life! My GI colleagues would advise to ‘avoid any foods that you know cause symptoms’ but there was no system to help me eliminate those potentially offending foods. When I first began to think that wheat might be a problem, I resisted the thought and convinced myself that I couldn’t live without bread and pasta and cookies! Now I don’t miss those things at all–there are plenty of alternatives and I certainly don’t miss the GI symptoms that controlled my life! Great information and thank you for sharing it with us.

So awesome Melissa! I can totally relate on resisting giving up bread, past and cookies! It took me a while to eliminate them myself and like you now I don’t miss them at all. Glad to hear your health has improved with your gluten free eating strategy. Let me know if I can help. Best Regards, Wendy

I was very surprised when I heard Dr. Hyman say that 99% of the people who have a problem with gluten don’t even know it. They go to their doctors for others reasons and suffer because of the gluten problem just like I did for years. Thanks for connecting. Best Regards, Wendy
