What about a health ribbon for abundant optimal function?

What about a health ribbonWhat about a health ribbon?

The other day I was at the grocery store and as I was looking for a parking spot I saw one of those ribbons that stands for “fighting a disease”.  You know what I mean right?  Fighting breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease, cancer in general and specific kinds of cancer.

I can’t tell you why that day was different however I was overwhelmed with the question why not have a ribbon for those individuals that want to fight for health?  What about a health ribbon?  And I don’t really feel that fighting is a positive way to think about it.  In my way of thinking fighting causes stress and why on earth does anyone want more stress when they are living with a  health challenge? And why does anyone have to be stressed out to choose health?

Why not have a ribbon for those that want to focus on health?  You know why create a new paradigm in how we see health and sickness!

Maybe the time has come for the people that work to create balance are honored.  You know those individuals who do their best daily to eat a balanced eating strategy, Real organic, local, high quality food, get a positive amount of exercise each day, get a solid sleep each night, drink water that is in line with their needs each day, play, meditate, laugh, give back to their community in some way, take  vitamins, OK you get the picture right?

Now I am  in no way saying we don’t support anyone who is having health challenges as sometimes you can do all things right and still become ill!

Really just got to thinking about how we can change the focus on health and well being rather than illness?  So What about a health ribbon? ?   What would a Focus on Health Ribbon look like?

Would be great to hear your thoughts in the comment area here~

That is a n awesome idea. Trying to improve or working for your health is positive. Why not applaud people for doing it? (although we should all be doing it anyway…people just chose not to.) A lot of the ribbons are for disease and disease prevention, which are negative. Focusing on the positive would be great and more people might want to jump in too! Focusing on health is a great idea – with ribbons. 🙂
