The Connection between Your Health & Your Success
Just about everyone wants success in life, right? This includes having success with a relationship, at work, in your family life and it means having the finances you want as well.
One problem that many people have is that they see all of these things as a way to make you happy. Do you feel this way too? Are you always thinking that once you have success and are making a certain amount of money your life will suddenly change and you will automatically become happy? If so, you are not alone, unfortunately, this is not the way you should be thinking.
Let’s look at success in a new perspective.
Are you honestly happy when you are sick or feeling tired? Are you truly happy being obese? The answer to these questions is normally NO.
In order to feel success and be happier in these situations, you need to be in good health. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense. When you are healthy you feel great and you have the energy to get things done.
This is why it is so important to take the time to work on improving your health. You’ve heard that “Health Is The New Wealth” right? This includes making time for exercise and learning how to eat a healthy and well-balanced diet.
It is really easy to start working on your health and research has shown that it is the first 20 minutes of exercise that really benefits you. Can you find the time to fit in a 20-minute workout each day? Once you start doing this regularly you will begin to look forward to your workouts.
It generally takes about 21 days to form a good habit. What that means is that if you start an exercise program today, by this time next month exercise will have become a daily habit. This takes nothing but your time and a little effort to set that time aside each day.
When you are first starting out you should aim to exercise at least 3 days a week for 10 or 20 minutes each time. You don’t want to overdo any exercise and run the risk of injury. So exercise for however long your fitness level allows.
Once you start feeling healthier you will notice that you also feel happier. The benefit of this is as you feel happier you are more productive and you will start to succeed at different things.
The exercise program I have been using for years in my home workouts is from Craig Ballantyne – The Home Workout Revolution here is my link for you and it is a great exercise program for beginners as well as the advanced fitness person.
Success and Happiness Are You Really Happy with Your Life?
If you are totally honest can you say that you are truly happy with your life or are there things you would like to change? Most people will say that they have things that have been left undone in their life. So why aren’t you doing them?
Not having enough time in your life is usually the excuse used for not achieving your success goals. Have you thought about how you can change this?
One simple way to start reaching your success goals is by becoming a happier person. Happiness breeds success and this is something that you must remember all the time.
Don’t Wait For Success in the Hopes of Finding Happiness.
It really does work the other way around.
So how do you become happier? The easiest way to live a happier life is by improving your health. Today, if you are like so many people you most likely suffer from aches and pains or have no energy or urge to do anything.
By changing your diet and adding exercise into your life you will become happier. If you don’t believe this just try it out. When you start exercising regularly you will notice that you have more energy and that you sleep better. Plus you can handle whatever life throws your way in an improved way.
Success and Happiness Are Lifestyle Habits
Remember that you must be aware of the foods that you are eating each day. These foods have a direct impact on the way your body and your mind works. If you don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables you probably suffer from a lot of colds. If you don’t exercise your joints will become stiff, achy and sore.
As you begin to feel better about your health and your mobility you will automatically start to feel more confident, happier and have a feeling of success. Imagine how you will feel when you can carry all those heavy groceries in from your car without huffing and puffing. Or how you will feel when you actually sleep through the night soundly!
The side effect of all of this is that you become happier. The people around you will notice a change in you and won’t be able to put a finger on just what it is that has changed.
As your success and happiness increase, you will find that you become more committed to reaching those goals you have set for yourself. Your first step today is to promise yourself that you will take steps to add exercise into your life.

One area of personal growth that people struggle with is a personal mindset. This means changing the way you think about certain things. For example instead of saying something like ‘I tried to get the job done.’ You would say, ‘I did my best today’.
Your mindset includes how you view your success and in what terms.
Are you a positive or negative thinker? You really want to always have a positive mindset as this will allow you to achieve your success goals.
There are many areas that you could develop when it comes to your personal growth. Don’t attempt to change too many areas at one time. You are better off to start with just one thing and work on that until you feel comfortable, create a success at that one thing and then add a new one thing.Rinse and Repeat for your long term success.
If you set small goals you will find it easier to make those changes. For example, if you want to lose 50 pounds break it down into segments of 5 or 10 pounds. Then break that goal down and make it smaller and include action steps on how you are going to achieve it.
Success action steps for losing weight could include:
- Exercise for 10 minutes each day
- Cutting out 1 can of soda each day
- Drinking 1 glass of water before each meal
- Going to bed at the same time each day
Each of these smaller steps will help you reach your first small goal. It will be easier to reach and by making it easy for yourself your motivation will stay high. Before you know it you will have lost those 10 pounds and you will be ready to tackle the next 10.
Use the method above with any goal you may have such as learning a new skill or developing a new good habit. As you reach each small goal take the time to celebrate your success with your friends and family before moving on to your next goal.
