What Is Gluten?
Today we will try to answer the question, What is Gluten? So, yesterday I wrote a post on how we are over consuming processed foods. Processed foods contain ingredients that are very low in nutritional value. Many of these processed foods contain Gluten.
So, What is Gluten?
Gluten is actually a protein that’s found in some grains. You’ll find this protein in wheat, rye, and barley. It’s not found in oats, but some oats get exposed to other grains during processing so it’s possible to be exposed to it from eating them.
It’s in all grains and it might be challenging you in ways you haven’t ever thought about until now!
If you have a gluten allergy, eating foods high in gluten can be a miserable experience. You may find that you feel bloated and have digestive problems. You may also find that you have a hard time losing weight while some people lose weight because of malnutrition.
Gluten intolerance can also make you feel fatigued and have headaches after eating grains that contain gluten. It can also lead to skin problems such as eczema. You may also have problems with irritability and even depression as a result of this allergy.
Dr. O’Bryan explains what is gluten.
You may be surprised that Gluten can be taken into the body in many different ways! Check this out. Gluten Free Food Is About Eating Real, Local and Organic Food
What I have learned over the past few years is that it is vital for improved health and wellbeing to eat REAL FOOD! It is even better for your health to eat real, organic and local if at all possible.
Here is what I mean, you will not improve your health if you continue to eat crap, processed, sugared, cross-contaminated foods. Some may even call these kinds of processed foods, Franken foods. Never! It just won’t happen and this is crucial to understand.
Everything that you buy, prepare and eat must be real food with few if any ingredients. No ingredient label for example.
Why, because this is what nature intended you to eat and in the past few decades we have outsourced our quality of food choice to manufacturers who don’t really care about your good health.
Again choose REAL FOOD!
